Dopo l’incredibile e inaspettato successo di “Pompeii“, i Bastille pubblicano un nuovo singolo dal loro album d’esordio “Bad Blood“. Scopriamo insieme chi è la “Laura Palmer” di questo brano.
La storia dei Bastille è molto semplice: qualche mese fa, tra la fine dello scorso anno e l’inizio di questo 2013, faceva la sua comparsa questa nuova band inglese guidata dal frontman Dan Smith, che come sappiamo ha scelto il nome Bastille per un chiaro riferimento all’avvenimento della presa della Bastiglia francese, il cui anniversario cade proprio nel giorno del compleanno del frontman dei Bastille. Da semplice band esordiente, i Bastille si sono subito trasformati nella band rivelazione dell’anno, grazie all’incredibile successo ottenuto con “Pompeii” e con l’album d’esordio “Bad Blood“.
Proprio in quest’album è contenuto il nuovo singolo pubblicato qualche mese fa dalla band inglese, “Laura Palmer”. Ancora una volta questo nome fa riferimento a un avvenimento passato, meno importante della presa della Bastiglia Francese e di Pompei: Laura Palmer, in realtà, era la protagonista di un telefilm cult degli anni 90, “I Segreti di Twin Peaks“, serie tv molto apprezzata da Dan Smith.
