“The City” è il nuovo singolo di Madeon, pseudonimo di Hugo Leclercq, giovanissimo disc jockey francese, appena diciottenne. Il suo stile è ispirato principalmente da Martin Solveig, Justice e manco a dirlo dai Daft Punk sui quali afferma: “I Daft Punk sono un po’ i miei mentori e maestri; i loro beat sono fantastici, soprattutto in alcune canzoni di cui ne vado matto! Io praticamente metto poi quei beat in tutto quello che faccio!”. Nel maggio 2011 ha rilasciato il remix di Raise Your Weapon di Deadmau5, sentito in esclusiva mondiale da molti su BBC Radio 1. Ma in realtà, molti lo conoscono o lo ricordano anche per il suo immenso mashup, Pop Culture, che unisce 39 canzoni in 3 minuti. Nel febbraio 2012 esce in vendita il singolo “Icarus”, che raggiunge le prime posizioni nella classifica di Beatport e debutta in 15ª posizione nella UK Chart Update, mentre lo scorso aprile è stato pubblicato il suo remix della canzone di Martin Solveig “The Night Out”.
